Whitehorse City Council is building an accessible, flexible and contemporary performing arts centre that will provide an expanded array of arts and cultural opportunities for the entire Whitehorse community to enjoy for generations to come.
Earlier this year, Council’s Project Working Group and the architects presented the Concept Design for the Whitehorse Centre redevelopment to key stakeholder groups and the broader community. Feedback gathered from that engagement has informed the development of the Schematic Design. Schematic Design is the stage of the project where the design of rooms and spatial requirements of the building are refined.
A range of information is available to help you provide feedback, including an animated fly-through’ of the performing arts centre, car park and surrounding precinct, architectural images and plans and illustrations.
Feedback gathered on the Schematic Design will be consolidated into a summary engagement report and made available via the Whitehorse Centre website at a later date.
Council will continue to work closely with all key stakeholders throughout the Design Development stage to help inform the final design of the new performing arts centre.
