Whitehorse City Council Proposed Budget 2021/2022

Council has approved the Proposed Budget 2021/2022 at its Ordinary Council meeting on Monday 19 April 2021. 

The $221 million Proposed Budget includes:

  • $171 million for the continued delivery of a wide range of services to the community,

  • $78 million Capital Works Program, and

  • $6 million for new operational initiatives including some large projects under Council's new transformation program.

The Proposed Budget is now available for viewing by the community and Council would like to hear your feedback.

Feedback can be provided on the Proposed Budget by clicking on the 'Provide feedback' button located on the right-hand side of this page. 

Please note feedback closes Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 11:59pm.

Submissions that include attachments should be lodged via email to annual.budget@whitehorse.vic.gov.au

People who make submissions will be identified in a report to Council and this information will become part of the public record. If you do not want to be identified, you should say so in your submission.

All submissions will be considered at a Delegated Committee meeting of Council Tuesday 15 June at 7pm in the Council Chamber, Whitehorse Civic Centre, 379-397 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading.

People who have made submissions can ordinarily speak to their submissions at this meeting, or may nominate another person to speak on their behalf. Anyone who wishes to speak to their submission or nominate someone else to speak on their behalf, should indicate this in their submission along with the name of the speaker if not themselves.

Councillors will consider adoption of the Proposed Budget 2021/2022 at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Monday 28 June 2021. The meeting will begin at 7pm in the Council Chamber.

A response will be sent to submitters informing them of the decision on their submission after the Budget has been adopted if a contact email address has been provided.
