In earlier community consultations, you told us that the Venus Bay Jupiter Boulevard Commercial Area would benefit from improvements to the streetscape; pedestrian movement, car parking and street landscaping and furniture as well as improved variety of business services and products.
Planning in a coastal setting is complex, with the sense of place, physical and engineering standards, residents needs and provision for visitors, sometimes being in conflict. Balancing these needs is challenging but necessary in preparing plans for the benefit of future residents and visitors.
We have prepared concept design and drawings for the Jupiter Boulevard streetscape and strategies for the key community services and transport networks adjacent to this area. Funding to make these changes is not currently available from Council or external bodies, however a well considered plan is a key first step in seeing that change realised in the short to medium term.
So what we want to hear from you is; have we identified all the issues faced within this area and how have we gone in developing a sensible plan for improvements?

We have kicked off the forum with pins in some key areas that we think might be of interest in the community.
