What is this topic about?

Actions to maintain, preserve, upgrade and build new physical community owned infrastructure maintained by local government such as local roads, footpaths, bike paths, community halls, libraries, recreation, leisure and aquatic centres, parks, open space and public toilets to support the current and future Moreland communities.

Park facilities (such as playgrounds, gym equipment, lighting). May also include additions such as dog agility parks, passive open space facilities such as seating, shade, water fountains.

A safer and better connected city for cycling and walking – increase cycle paths and pedestrian walkways. Increase opportunities for alternative transport.

Better maintenance of roads and footpaths. These need a lot more resources and regular maintenance work.

Deliver a sporting and community hub at Charles Mutton Reserve in Fawkner that:
1. Builds new facilities for the local Football, Cricket, Tennis and future Netball Clubs
2. Finds a home for a Fawkner Community Shed
3. Establishes a community garden
4. Creates function rooms to be used by locals and businesses
5. Construction of Public toilets, barbecues and public parks

Laneways - preserve or repurpose the laneways. Preserving bluestone laneways or using some laneways for local parklets to help increase urban greenery across the city.

I would really love to see more fenced dog off-lead areas. We are extremely thankful for the amazing off-lead parkland in Moreland, but it isn't always suitable for all dogs (or people). It would be nice to have more safe and dedicated spaces for this. It would benefit the community as a whole, including non-pet owners.
