1. Council works with the community to create safe, resilient and healthy places to live.
This covers areas such as events and activities that encourage community involvement and connection, support for local businesses and employment, housing affordability and advocacy for marginalised groups. It also includes improved community engagement, planning for emergencies and developing resilient communities.

5. Council ensures that bushland, coasts and rivers are cared for to minimise the loss of natural values and are protected for future generations.
This covers areas such as sustainable development and land use, protection of natural resources and assets, climate change adaptation and mitigation.

2. Council provides quality infrastructure to keep up with a growing community.
This covers areas such as transport, planning and development, community assets (playgrounds, public toilets etc.) and waste management.

Safer roads (overtaking lanes, sealed roads, footpaths).
Better recreation areas and options (snug and Margate parks need upgrading, Kingston needs parks, swimming pool, movie cinema etc)
Building processes need simplifying.

Reduction in rates.
Recycling bin collection every week, normal 'landfill' bin collected fortnightly.
More playgrounds throughout the Kingborough region to make the community come out of the their houses and meet each other.

It would be nice if Kingborough was more liveable. At the moment all the various shopping precincts within about a kilometre of each other is just not practical, putting your bikes on the back of the car to get to a safe bike track is not ideal, not to have parks or a leisure centre, cinema's etc I feel that I am always needing to go somewhere else to get what I need, apart from the free things in life like our coastline. Having said that, with rates so high already and with the basics not quickly resolved, like pot holes and patchworking of roads, I am not sure of making it a 'nicer' p...

4. Council’s systems, technology and people serve community needs.
This covers areas such as staff, governance, financials, customer-oriented services, corporate administration and use of digital technologies.

3. Council encourages vibrant central and local business districts that provide social and economic opportunities.
This covers areas such as liveability and desirability of our local areas, economic development and job opportunities for the future, and supporting local businesses and employment.

The people and dogs who use the Kingston Dog Beach and the dog exercise areas are the happiest and friendliest people around - more please!
