Council is committed to working towards a sustainable future with a vision to become one of the most sustainable cities in Australia by 2030.

The City of Greater Dandenong is committed to working towards a sustainable future with a vision to become one of the most sustainable cities in Australia by 2030.

As part of this commitment Council is working to ensure that it is prepared for climate change and its impact on the community. Council will develop a Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan by 2020 to help respond to this change and guide its decision making into the future.

The Strategy and Action Plan will help Council reduce its carbon emissions and prepare for the impacts of climate change, while empowering the local community to do the same.

We want our residents to help form this Strategy and Action Plan and will use Our Say to engage with residents online. We will use surveys and forums to help understand what our community know about sustainability and how you would like Council to be working in this space.
