Binalong Park is for everyone – Let’s make it even better!

What did you tell us?

Binalong Park is one of Toongabbie’s most popular parks for sport and play. We want to make it even better.

Throughout December 2019 and January 2020, Council invited the community to provide feedback on a proposal to install a water play area at Binalong Park.

There was very strong support from the community to the idea, with over 85% of respondents supportive of a water play facility!

Proposed water play features at Binalong Park could include fountains, tipping buckets, water jets and other interactive features that have been successful at James Ruse Reserve Water Playground and Ollie Webb Reserve.

Consultation with the community is the first step in deciding on the type of water play features and facilities which may be included at Binalong Park. Council has also consulted with key stakeholders including sporting clubs to progress a community hub at Binalong Park, featuring community meeting rooms.

Thank you for your participation in this first stage of consultation!

Council will seek further feedback from the community on the draft concept design in April 2020.

We will also keep you updated via this page as more information becomes available about this project.
