wilma asked the question: “Why doesn't the government (1) publicise the successful settlement of families in the community (2)cut the costs of the refugee program by detaining all arrivals who claim refugee status only for about 1 month for preliminary checks and then complete processing while the people are in the community (3) explain the need to achieve regional agreements on refugees ( 4) explain how they might deal with people who having been found not to be refugees , then refuse to return to their country?”
wilma asked the question: “Why is it that asylum seekers who arrive by plane are processed in the community while those who come by boat are detained? What is the difference if any in their identification documents if these exist, and if plane arrivals do have documents, how are these authenticated - note that Iranian refugee advocates recently claimed plane arrivals had flaso documents?”
