EU Emission Trading Schemes never include tree planting as an activity that create carbon credits.It's multinational schemes too. All Australian carbon credit providers in mandatory market have license. They are able to prove the quantity of CO2 stored in trees (in underground stems, timbers and etc) . The term "Carbon Tax" is too superficial and focuses on tax payers (large emitters)' perspective only. However, under emission trading schemes/legislation, the emitters need to acquit their obligation by surrendering carbon credits.
