Stephen asked the question: “The market economy (irrespective of political systems) has emerged as a system for innovation and efficiency, both of which are going to be necessary to overcome resource related issues, however it does little to address inequality (even though economic theory suggests there will be a trickle down effect) and contributes to human behaviours that reinforce a sense of material and social superiority, ie. inequality. Do you think it is possible to redress inequality while retaining a market economy or are the drivers inherent in the market...”
