Diana commented on El's question: “Surely, the men and other women in the Gillard government team had an equal or more than equal say in this issue, didn't they, El? Why shouldn’t the big polluters pay back some of the costs of their plundering to clean up the environment? As for bringing the budget back to surplus, once again the PM has listened to her mixed gender team and acted on the premise that - without huge austerity measures - it's totally unrealistic to have a budget in surplus in this highly uncertain global political, social, economic and environmental climate...”
