anthony commented on Shane's question: “Congratulations! The fact that the 2 leading questions have surpassed the now 3rd ranking question is as good a summary of why Fairfax is going broke as you are likely to see.”
anthony commented on Mark's question: “Neither warming or more extreme weather is happening, so there is NO justification for either AGW or a CO2 tax.”
anthony asked the question: “Dear PM, there is a growing amount of scientific evidence to disprove man-made global warming. Despite this you are continuing to introduce the world's largest and most comprehensive CO2 tax. Is this simply to keep the Greens onside and stay in power despite the damage to Australia and the integrity of science? ”
anthony commented on Emma's question: “Being called a fool at a Fairfax or ABC blog is a complement. Great addition to the debate by the way Peter.”
anthony commented on Emma's question: “Wind and solar DO NOT WORK; concentrated solar is just a fancy name for more solar; 2 X nothing is still nothing; think Solyndra, Whitecliffs, Silex solar etc; it is pointless discussing this with pro-renewable acolytes because whatever sense they have is blinded by utopian visions and the sugar-plum fairy.”
anthony commented on Emma's question: “Wind and solar DO NOT WORK! Just because spivs and often criminal corporations are investing in them doesn't mean they do; whenever governments are throwing money away there will be a queue of 'businesses' like vultures waiting for money; when the government funding stops so does the industry.”
anthony commented on Emma's question: “Renewables do not work; they have failed everywhere they have been trialled; wind and solar are mature technologies; there is no further scope for improvement of efficiency. The cost of defying this fact has bankrupted Europe and California. people who advocate, in particular, wind and solar, are either ignorant, not telling the truth or making a buck from them, or all 3. ”
anthony asked the question: “Renewable energy doesn't work and has bankrupted Europe and California; given the manifest failure of, in particular, wind and solar, why isn't Queensland developing a clean nuclear industry using thorium, a form of uranium which Australia has the world's largest deposits?”
anthony commented on Geoff's question: “"Europe coped with the Euro"; tell that to Greece, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Portugal. A typical left concept consistent with ideology and completely inconsistent with the needs of people and societies; Pain by name and by intention. I also like "No more excuses for Australian exporters and no need for "compensation" by governments for multinational companies "impacted" by a "high Australian dollar". I suppose you would agree all the Banks, Lawyers and assorted business spivs in the queue to take public money under the guise of the CO2 TAX...”
anthony commented on peter's question: “How do you swill a pig?”
anthony asked the question: “Professor Chomsky has spent his life aggressively criticising Western culture, particularly in the US; most recently he has stated there is an equivalence between former president Bush and Bin Laden. My question to professor Chomsky is this: does he also think there is an equivalence between Western culture and Islamic culture and if so can he point to any Muslim living in an Islamic state [that is not Turkey], particularly a Muslim woman, who has enjoyed the latitude he has to criticise the culture in which they live. If he can't name one...”
anthony asked the question: “The actions of people conflict with the preservation of pristine nature; every time a hospital, school, road, house or farm is cropped pristine nature is compromised. In making its decisions about enviromental issues does the EPA prioritise in favour of what benefits humanity or in favour of preserving pristine nature.”
