work as a handyman /gardener and Artist (landscapes rendered in oilpastel or sketches in charcoal),never used a biology honours degree from La Trobe professionally but have kept up with environmental issues and some science since. The findings from the Club of Rome have been accurate and now we might, as a global super species do real damage to the biosphere.Family ,friends and music keep my spirits up .

Stuff we've made since the 30's,is still around ,and the explosion in complexity of form and function, coupled with exponential quantities being produced adds up to a major problem world wide. There is no waste in nature ,but plastics/synthetics persist .How do we prevent' Wastedump' Earth? ”

Ant commented on Caroline's question: “I came out of the theatre really feeling for the Earth ..and most of the beautiful scenery in the landscapes was of our world .you want to do something to ensure it all stays as it has been and even go and get amongst it ..but with population and demand for resourses peaking ,probably hopethese pressures go away .Its only been a generation or two since big probs started rearing their ugly heads ,worst sea temperatures .. ..but some good ..me chattin to you through (electrified)ether ..”
Ant asked the question: “what can be don to re-establish the bush ,which was razed in all directions (and in all countries and is happening right now in the tropics of New Guinea or the Phillipines or Brazils' Amazon),with the information of native ecosystems ,the potential overlays onto our boring farm mentality reality which dominates the bulk of the non desert country side ?Maybe while the ground is wet we should go flat out to re vegetate baron lands and cut through the red tapes of ownership with carbon credit incentives to give the bush the dignity ,resourseful...”
