Secure Jobs. Better Future.

There was a time when a job was for life. But today almost half of all workers are in casual or insecure work, with no career path, no financial security, and no ability to plan for the future. Insecure work is not a problem restricted to older workers - many young people are feeling the brunt of a shift towards more insecure and non-permanent forms of work.

Australian unions have launched the Secure Jobs. Better Future. campaign because whether you are in a casual, contract, labour hire or a permanent job, you should have the same workplace rights and conditions and job security.

Ahead of the ACTU Congress and the inaugural Youth Congress in May, we want to know your questions about working life in the new economy – along with what unions should be doing for Australian workers in the 21st century.
