Julie Posetti is an award-winning, internationally published journalist and academic who lectures in broadcast journalism at the University of Canberra. She is currently writing her PhD thesis on The Twitterisation of Journalism. She contributes regularly to the prestigious US website PBS MediaShift as a writer on digital media transformations. She also consults on social media strategy and online community building, providing training and policy advice to major media and corporate clients including the Sydney Morning Herald and SBS. Julie was the 1996 winner of the Australian Human Rights Award for radio for her ABC coverage of racism, Indigenous affairs and child abuse in state care.
