Prime Minister, you discriminate against Defence Force men and women when you say the country can afford fair indexation that protects pension purchasing power for over 3 million age pensioners but cannot afford to protect the purchasing power for 65,000 military superannuation pensioners (around $20M in the first year). You compound your discrimination when you add that the country can also afford the latest indexation increase for superannuated MPs, a massive 30 times greater than that for military superannuation pensioners. Given that fair indexation was an employment condition upon enlistment and given that it is clearly affordable, why won't you index military superannuation pensions fairly?

Dear Prime Minister. Considering that Parliamentarians have just received a large pay increase, and that the Government has pledged a billion dollars to Afghanistan, why can't the Australian Government find the relatively small amount of money to provide fair indexation of military superannuation? One tenth of one percent is not fair indexation.

Prime Minister, why does a surviving spouse of a deceased military superannuant only receive 62.5% of the military superannuant's super payments and why can't she/he roll this amount over into another super account of his/her own choice like other Australians can? What happens to the other 37.5 % which, by the way, is only indexed against the CPI? If the CPI is the best indexation method why arent politicians' salaries indexed against the CPI? Why does your Government discriminate against Defence members and their families?

Dear Prime Minister. Are you aware that whilst there may be approximately 300,000 military superannuants, the exponential factor of their parents, children, siblings and grandchildren, all eligible voters extends the military family to a larger percentage of Australian constituents.
