Prime Minister, you discriminate against Defence Force men and women when you say the country can afford fair indexation that protects pension purchasing power for over 3 million age pensioners but cannot afford to protect the purchasing power for 65,000 military superannuation pensioners (around $20M in the first year). You compound your discrimination when you add that the country can also afford the latest indexation increase for superannuated MPs, a massive 30 times greater than that for military superannuation pensioners. Given that fair indexation was an employment condition upon enlistment and given that it is clearly affordable, why won't you index military superannuation pensions fairly?

Prime Minister, Would please listen to the question asked and provide an honest answer for a change. You honestly have not been briefed correctly on the situation in question and refuse to understand how ex service families are doing it real tough at the moment.

Dear Prime Minister, on one hand your government states that the veterans pensions are "Adequate" and that you cannot afford to bring our pension into line with that of the age pension, yet you and your fellow pollies give yourselves a massive increase in wages and pensions. Those of us who served this country by choice were and are prepared to pay the ultimate price so the likes of yours & other Australian governments have the freedom to make such decisions be they right or wrong. The governments dimisal of Veterans is WRONG. May I suggest you try living on a veterans pension for a year and see how you get on.

This sham was designed to be a vote gathering exercise for the government and a popularity parade for the PM but the result wes even more lost votes. The following link will give you an insight into the woman who is PM. http://www.2gb.com/index2.php?option=com newsmanager&task=view&id=13667#.UAI

The PM's position is even more tenuous now if you listen to this discussion with Alan Jones. Well worth the 30 minutes to listen. Bring on the next election. http://www.2gb.com/index2.php?option=com_newsmanager&task=view&id=13667

First time I have watched this farce of trying to connect with the public. If the Prime Minister is to continue to dismiss questions she would do better to pass onto the next question instead of mouthing rhetoric and wasting more of our time and money. Please for Australia's sake let us have an election for a new PM.

A pathetic response from the PM and nothing but platitudes and bullsh*t answers to an honest and fair question. If you get any votes from the veteran community at the next election, I will be astounded.

Dear Prime Minister don't you know that no matter how many platitudes you make including the famous " I value the contribution our service men & woman make....", won't cut it? As any service person knows, "B..S..." is just that, B...S... & as they will tell you they have been "B...S...ed" to by experts and you are no expert.. Service people vote too and based on your lack of support (when there isn't a photo opportunity) for fair indexation those votes won't be for your lack lustre government that is for sure!!!

John, absolutely right! If there was a carbon tax on the B..S.. coming from this morally bankrupt labor government, Juliar's accomplice Swan would be rolling in a huge surplus. None of these jokers have the guts to face up to us and debate our plight fully and frankly. They give the usual distorted "facts" without being called to account. If they are so confident that they are right, then they would allow scrutiny of their figures, but we all no that will never happen. I am equally disgusted with Oursay's treatment of David Jamison, because he could have shot down Gillards B..S.. if their so-called moderator had given him a fair shake. There are many unanswered questions out there, but these toady journos are too frightened to put the likes of Gillard under the spotlight. Shame Deakin, shame!!

We are totally disgusted with the unbelievable way in which you sidestepped and misrepresented the facts, Prime Minister, on the question of fair military superannuation pension indexation. May your electoral annihilation justly reflect the country's response to the way you discriminate against the people who served this country in armed conflict or the preparation for it, paid for their own aged support during that time (compulsory superannuation contributions) yet have you refuse to even give them a fair and equal income indexation to everyone else. how can we be expected to be nice to someone who would stoop to such miserable measures are your Government has, and have its "leader" seek to justify such an indefensible position. This is a shame on your administration. Roll on the election - perhaps you can salvage some respect from us all be fairly addressing this matter; we won't hold our breath..

Prime Minister, I am almost tempted to return to you the miserable increase in my husband's military superannuation. Just a little over the cost of a stamp. It is a disgrace for you to say you cannot afford to pay more, then give yourselves pay rises, and give Indonesia and Afghanistan a billion dollars. How insulting!!

What an unmitigated disaster. May Misha's career slip into oblivion more quickly than the credibility of that of Deakin University. If, Misha, you don't give up your career, please, don't ever follow your obvious mentor of spin into politics, there are too many spin master, sycophants there already.
