I am of the opinion that PM Gillard typifies the words of one of the great US orators and Scholars, Thomas Jefferson, when he said "The moment a person forms a theory, his (or her) imagination sees in every object only the traits which favor theory". She knows as we do that the cost of Fair Indexation of Military Super is around $20m in the first year, not $6b; that only a small number of currently serving members will be able to access superannuation payments after 20 years, most will have to wait until they are at least 60; and every review into Military Super since 1972, including the much touted Matthews Review, have recommended that it be indexed in line with the real cost of living.
