When will roadside mail delivery come to Teesdale? This is a basic service that everyone else has! Under Labor, Teesdale will have the NBN in 2016 - great for online shopping, except for the drive to get your shopping! Roadside mail delivery must come before fibre!

In 2009, the Postal Industry Ombudsman released a report about the community polling practice used by Australia Post to gauge support for roadside mail delivery change (Teesdale was last polled in 2007 and voted against). The conclusions in this report included concerns that a non-response to the poll is a vote against changing mail delivery - "The letter advises that if no response is received, it will be assumed that the recipient does not want any change to the current delivery arrangements.", It also recommends that the poll should be conducted independently, not by Australia Post (source: http://www.pio.gov.au/docs/investigation-reports/AustPost_polling_communities.pdf).
6 years and many new houses and residents later, it is time for roadside mail delivery Teesdale! What Teesdale residents are saying: "It is difficult to collect mail from the store when it is closed as I drive past on the way home from work. I dont want city services, just basic services & we dont get that from an overpriced general store that isnt open late enough to supply an essential service." http://bit.ly/10wssep "They get mail in the Back of Bourke delivered to their gates. We are 35 kms away from Geelong and we still live like pioneers. Not good enough Australia Post. Get your minions out here to have a look, if you bear to get out of your comfort zone." http://bit.ly/10wssep "I agree - I'm sick and tired of having to collect my mail from the General Store. Give us home delivery please please please" http://bit.ly/10wssep "That is great for Bannockburn as everything is going great guns in the Golden Plains Shire. So when is Teesdale going to get one of the most basic provisions - roadside mail delivery?" http://bit.ly/13VOEiQ "Surely teesdale should have mail delivery? What are we living in the dark ages still!!" http://bit.ly/13VOEiQ
