“Professor Chomsky has spent his life aggressively criticising Western culture, particularly in the US; most recently he has stated there is an equivalence between former president Bush and Bin Laden. My question to professor Chomsky is this: does he also think there is an equivalence between Western culture and Islamic culture and if so can he point to any Muslim living in an Islamic state [that is not Turkey], particularly a Muslim woman, who has enjoyed the latitude he has to criticise the culture in which they live. If he can't name one such person does this mean Islam is a perfect culture or that he is a hypocrite?”
