The current Victorian Government has recognised the need for law and order, and the importance of prevention of violence against women. Why won't they adequately fund specialist services that support women exploited in the Victorian sex industry, including those trafficked?

Carline Norma put it best when she said that prostitution is not merely work, it is "commercially mediated sexual abuse". http://oursay.org/communities-in-control/the-current-victorian-government-has-recognised-the-need-for-law-and-order-and-the-importance-of-prevention-of-violence

The State Government need to consider its priorities and give serious thought to funding the work that this and other Voluntary groups do for the community. The payment given to the paid worker is a mere drop in the ocean compared with the contributions offered freely by other members of this and other community groups. Let's support those who support us!

The Government either is or isn't serious about preventing trafficking. Why would they not fund the one organisation that works the hardest against trafficking. Could this mean the Government is not all that serious and why would that be Mr Government?????

The only society in which we all can be happy is not one that turns a blind eye to suffering, rather, reaches out in humanity to those who are suffering.

Why is it that sex workers are seen as the bad guys? It is men who demand supply and males who dictate over the women of how to subject them selves in the work place.
