The Question

Why not enhance the ABC's Charter to include production and distribution of a newspaper? It would allow us to read the full reports of the ABC's worldwide reporters' strength. I think it should be almost free of advertising, except for ABC shop and events such as concerts and radio/TV guide. With virtually no ads, it would be physically small, perhaps even A4 size, easily disributed (or printed to demand in remote locations), via Australia Post Offices and public transport stations. With low production and distribution costs, it would be cheap to buy - perhaps leading to broader readership, education of the masses and empowerment through knowledge.
